Spiritual Obesity
Inflated heads and flat hearts.
The race has begun, but you’re not ready to start.
Bears eat and drink to prepare for hibernation.
You eat and drink and lack application.
How can one learn so much and know so little?
Your faith is brittle.
Do you even believe?
You should be ashamed of that forearm sleeve.
Of bible verses that mean nothing to you.
If they did, you’d bear fruit.
But your tree is barren.
And your belly is full.
“Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.”
Romans 12:1-2 (HCSB)
